When I was first starting out and furnishing my STRs 5 years ago, I was always forgetting silly things!
No longer will you get that message from your very first guest asking “Hey… where is the hairdryer!” when you forgot to stock it! Here are some of my tips and tricks to furnish and stock your AirBNB/STR!
Furniture: Depending on the size of your space, you’ll need to invest in furniture to provide a comfortable living space for your guests. This may include a bed, sofa, chairs, dining table, and other items. Consider the style and functionality of the furniture, and ensure that it’s sturdy and durable.
Linens and bedding: Clean, comfortable bedding and linens are essential for a good night’s sleep. Invest in high-quality sheets, pillows, comforters, and blankets that are soft, comfortable, and durable. Don’t forget to provide extra blankets and pillows in case your guests need them.
Kitchen essentials: If you plan on allowing your guests to cook their own meals, you’ll need to provide basic kitchen essentials. This may include cookware, utensils, plates, cups, glasses, and silverware. You should also provide basic pantry staples such as salt, pepper, sugar, and cooking oil.
Cleaning supplies: Maintaining a clean and tidy space is crucial for providing a positive guest experience. You’ll need to invest in cleaning supplies such as a vacuum cleaner, mop, broom, dustpan, cleaning solution, and sponges.
